Atomic Force Microscopes

Nanoscale imaging and electrical characterization by CSInstruments, France. New systems and upgrades for your existing AFM, distributed and supported in Singapore by Frontier Scientific.

Our AFM Products

Two ways into advanced AFM: a complete high resolution research platform, or a controller upgrade that gives a second life to the AFM you already own. Both bring the CSInstruments advanced modes ResiScope™, HD-KFM and Soft Interaction Control to your lab.

Nano-Observer II

High resolution research AFM built around the Galaxy USB 24-bit low-noise controller, with built-in advanced modes, a motorized stage option (0.5 µm step, 25 mm × 25 mm travel), EZ TEMP temperature control from -40°C to +450°C, and glove box compatibility for air-sensitive samples.

Galaxy Dual Controller

A second life for your AFM: one controller upgrades Bruker Multimode, Dimension 3000/3100, Agilent/Keysight 5500, 5600, 54x0 series and PicoSPM/4500 systems. Existing modes stay intact while ResiScope™, HD-KFM and Soft Interaction Control are added, together with modern low-noise electronics and automated workflows.

Why CSInstruments AFM?

10 Decades of Electrical Range

ResiScope™ measures resistance from 10² to 10¹² ohms and current from femtoamperes to microamperes in a single scan, with smart active current protection.

Single-Pass Surface Potential

HD-KFM operates at high frequency (~350–400 kHz) on the cantilever’s second eigenmode: KPFM without lift-mode artifacts, <10 nm resolution and sub-surface sensitivity.

Friction-Free Soft Matter Imaging

Soft Interaction Control holds a constant force at each pixel with zero lateral contact: quantitative electrical, thermal and mechanical data on fragile samples.

Advanced AFM Modes Explained

How do ResiScope™, HD-KFM and Soft Interaction Control compare with conductive AFM, standard KPFM and SSRM? Our dedicated page walks through each mode with real scan data and side-by-side comparisons.
